Similarities
Page top
If you really think about it, you can make the argument that any one idea, concept, or thing is related to another by less than three degrees of separation. It is somewhat like the old Kevin Bacon game, where players prove that any given object is related to Kevin Bacon by x degrees of separation. Except you can do this with any two things. You just have to know how to think.
See, the answer might not always be obvious. You need to consider many different things. First of all, look for the obvious similarities. For example:
Fish and Fins
They both:
-Begin with Fi
-Fish have Fins
-They both Contain F, i, and s
-They are both four letter words
-They are can both be plural
-They are both four letters
-et cetera
But on certain other words it is not as obvious. For example: Beetle Larva and Corrupt
For this, you cannot say they begin with the same letters, they do not start the same way, they are different amounts of letters, and are different parts of speech. So they are not obviously the same.
But if you think about it, neither of them are things you want to call the Pope, so therefore they are similar. See, similarities do not have to be "textbook". They can be way out there. That's just the way it is.
I may add more on this later.
